Sylvester Stallone's son found dead
Sage Stallone, the 36-year-old son of Sylvester Stallone, was found dead today at his Los Angeles home, EW has confirmed.
“Sylvester Stallone is devastated and grief-stricken over the sudden loss of his son Sage Stallone,” Sylvester’s rep, Michelle Bega, said in a statement. “His compassion and thoughts are with Sage’s mother, Sasha [Czack]. Sage was a very talented and wonderful young man, his loss will be felt forever.”
The Los Angeles Police Department told People that there were no signs of foul play and that reports that Sage died from a prescription overdose are premature.
“It could have been a heart attack or a stroke,” LAPD Commander Andrew Smith told People, adding the coroner’s office will likely spend several weeks on a toxicology report before it determines cause of death.
Sage’s attorney George Braunstein spoke to the New York Post: “I have just gotten a report that he was found dead at his home…. He was in good spirits, and working on all kinds of project. He was planning on getting married. I am just devastated. He was an extremely wonderful, loving guy. This is a tragedy.”
Sage Stallone appeared in several movies, including a role as Rocky Balboa’s son Rocky Jr. in Rocky V. He also appeared alongside his father in Daylight.
