Another Dunder-Mifflin fave is heading for the door.

B.J. Novak will not return as a series regular for the upcoming ninth season of The Office, sources confirm to EW. Novak, who has also served as a writer and co-executive producer on the series, will possibly return as a guest star.

The announcement comes about two months after Mindy Kaling’s new show was picked up by Fox, solidifying her departure from the aging comedy, which two years ago bid farewell to Steve Carell.

TV Guide first reported the news.
