ABC eked out a second place win among adults 18-49 on Monday but it wasn’t because of the Glass House premiere. Indeed, CBS need not worry that ABC’s Big Brother-like reality show will steal Julie Chen’s thunder: The hidden-camera show only averaged a 1.6 rating/4 share in the key demo and 4.1 million viewers — down 33% from last summer’s debut of Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition, according to preliminary ratings. It was most popular among women 25-54 (2.4/6) but otherwise the young viewers didn’t seem too interested in ABC’s new reality show.

ABC managed to hold onto second place because of The Bachelorette, which earned a 2.3/7 and 6.9 million viewers. The show was flat versus last week. Each 18-49 ratings point equals 1.3 million viewers.

Fox finished in the top spot thanks to originals of Hell’s Kitchen and Masterchef. Airing against repeats on CBS, Hell’s earned a 2.5/8 and 5.5 million viewers, while Masterchef posted a 2.3/6 and 5.4 million viewers.

NBC won the night in viewers (7.5 million) and posted a third place finish in adults 18-49 because of America’s Got Talent, which earned a 2.8/9 and 11.1 million viewers. American Ninja Warrior hobbled in at 2.0/5, down 9% from two weeks ago to finish as its lowest rated telecast ever. It only averaged 5.7 million.
