Train rides provided important benchmarks to Abraham Lincoln’s political career. First, during his election campaign in 1861. Later, on the 1,654-mile funeral tour after his 1865 assassination. But according to Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, the 16th president (Benjamin Walker) defined his legacy by a decidedly shorter ride on the rails.

“It’s 80 miles from here to Gettysburg,” he tells his faithful wingman (Anthony Mackie). “Eighty miles will decide whether this country belongs to the living or the dead.” With Honest Abe’s Illinois-bred ax skills and distinct height advantage, we’re betting on the living. Check out the choo-choo carnage below.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter opens June 22.
