Piers Morgan had a phone call with Casey Anthony yesterday. Though the conversation was off-camera and unrecorded, Morgan revealed highlights of the chat last night on his CNN show. Among the notable quotes from Anthony, Morgan said she told him, “I’m ashamed in many ways of the person that I was. Because even then, that wasn’t who I am.”

Anthony remained adamant that she did not kill her daughter Caylee, saying, “There’s nothing in this world I’ve ever been so proud of. There’s no one I loved more than my daughter. She’s my greatest accomplishment.”

Below, watch Morgan dole out more of Anthony’s feelings on her new life and the possibility of motherhood.

Morgan discussed these revelations with Anthony’s former defense attorney, J. Cheney Mason, who shared details of Anthony’s new world since she was acquitted for Caylee’s murder. Echoing Anthony’s admissions in an October video diary, Cheney said his client’s life is mostly solitary these days. She doesn’t drink, spends a lot of time indoors, and occupies herself with television and books. (Like the rest of America, Anthony is a Hunger Games fan.)

When Morgan asked Cheney if Anthony would consider becoming a mother again, he answered, “She probably would. It would take a long time for her to be accepted in a new world, a new life [and be ready to] take that risk.”

See Cheney talk about Anthony’s daily routine here.
