President George W. Bush got an HBO show — unfortunately for him, it was a 2009 Will Ferrell comedy special. Now his dad, George H.W. Bush, is getting one too, although it isn’t packed with many laughs. It’s an intimate, affectionate documentary called 41, following the ex-POTUS as he putters in a golf cart around his Kennebunkport, Maine, compound. ”I just wanted to show the world the George Bush I know and love,” says veteran producer Jerry Weintraub (Nashville, Ocean’s Eleven), who’s been friends with Bush since they met during a tennis match in Maine 48 years ago. The doc, directed by Jeffrey Roth (The Wonder of It All), premieres on June 14, two days after Bush’s 88th birthday.
