Dancing With the Stars

  • TV Show

Dancing With the Stars will launch its first-ever all-star edition this fall — presumably, any Planet Mirrorballus visitor who didn’t win his or her season would be eligible to compete. There goes my dream of Apolo Ohno and Kristi Yamaguchi returning for a very special Dancing With the Stars All-Stars On Ice!

Who do you want to see as all-“stars”? I’ve listed my top 7 (seh-vehhhhhhhn!” –Len Goodman) picks below….

Gilles Marini: This one’s a no-brainer! The sexy Frenchman could have easily won season 8 — but had no hard feelings against Shawn Johnson, of course. Gilles, or “Zheeeeeeel,” as Carrie Ann liked to say, would probably be my pick to win it all, no matter who else is cast!

Mel B (Scary Spice): She and her husband still have Thanksgiving with Maks! She’s practically part of the family.

Stacy Keibler: Four words: Clooney in the audience. Three more: She can dance!

Kirstie Alley: She’d be starting in such better shape and was always a fan favorite. She’s got poise (incontinence products). Plus, she got Maks to admit his true nature: “sex on a stick.”

Evan Lysacek: The Olympic gold medalist was robbed his season with Anna Tre-BUN-skaya! Hmm…should the all-stars return with their previous partners or switch it up? Discuss.

Rob Kardashian: I know, I know, but I really took a liking to this kkkkkkkkkid last season and he was a damn fine dancer. I’d rather see him do this than hem and haw over where his “career” is going on his sisters’ reality shows. Wasn’t he talking about starting a socks company at one point? Or was it candles? Socks that are candles? Get this bum back in the ballroom!

Ty Murray: When I think “DWTS fan favorite” I immediately think of Ty. Why is that? His actual dancing wasn’t off-the-charts special but he and his hats and his cattle-roping stories were so endearing. Plus, his presence meant that Jewel was always around, and bejeweled. He could get eliminated right away and no one would really mind. Party at the ranch!

Other options: Rick Fox, Mario Lopez, Erin Andrews, Ralph Macchio, Misty May-Treanor, Christian de la Fuentes. You know Sabrina Bryan, Kyle Massey, and Joey Fatone — who are currently performing in “Dancing With the Stars Live” in Las Vegas — are chomping at the bit. I’m sure Lisa Rinna would be game if she can ever find her way out of her diaper. It Depends.

Sherri Shepherd and Carson Kressley should be season 15’s spirit animals/coaches. They’d just have to hang out in the rehearsal studio and be “pillars of strength” the whole time. Pillars of sequined chiffon and string cheese are probably more like it, but contestants need those too. We must keep the Sparkaliens nourished!

Who would you like to see? Who WOULDN’T you like to see?
