Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez announce engagement, John Mayer takes break from touring, and more

After months of speculation, Olivier Martinez, 46, confirmed his engagement to Halle Berry, 45. ”Yes, of course it’s true,” he told The Miami Herald March 10….Sienna Miller, 30, also confirmed that she is expecting her first child with her boyfriend, actor Tom Sturridge, 26.

Radio host Alexis Stewart, 46 — the daughter of Martha Stewart — welcomed a son, Truman, via surrogate on March 6. Alexis also has a daughter, Jude, 1.

Dick Van Dyke, 86, wed girlfriend Arlene Silver, 40, on Feb. 29 in Malibu.

Kimberly Buffington-Quaid filed for divorce from her husband of seven years, Dennis Quaid, 57, on March 2. They will share custody of their 4-year-old twins.

John Mayer, 34, announced March 10 that he would ”take an indefinite break from live performing” due to a granuloma on his vocal cords.

French comics artist Jean ”Moebius” Giraud, whose work helped inspire the design of films like Alien and Blade Runner, passed away on March 10 after a battle with cancer. He was 73…. ”Disco Inferno” singer Jimmy Ellis, who performed with the Trammps, died of Alzheimer’s complications on March 8 at the age of 74…. Songwriter Robert Sherman, who penned tracks for films like Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, died on March 5 of natural causes. He was 86.
