Fox grounds 'Teenage Daughter,' adds more 'Idol'
Fox is grounding the critically disparaged sitcom I Hate My Teenage Daughter.
The network is cancelling its plan to move the show from Tuesday to Wednesday nights next month. Fox will continue to air two-hour episodes of American Idol on Wednesdays instead of the previously announced 90-minute episodes.
The last Teenage Daughter is scheduled to air on Tuesday, April 3, but there’s a chance the show’s Tuesday run will get cut short as well. The comedy’s most recent episode delivered a meager 3.6 million viewers and a 1.4 rating among adults 18-49. Fox says they plan to air the remaining episodes in the summer.
