Sometimes the mash-ups that nobody asked for are often the most beloved, which could be precisely the case for College Humor’s latest power blend of Downton Abbey and, as a natural complement, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Check out the whole video below.

Unfortunately, they didn’t get Will Smith to cameo in the music video, which blends the somber Downton theme song with the decidedly upbeat rap theme from Fresh Prince (which everyone, everywhere knows the lyrics to, as anyone who has been to a ’90s throwback-themed party can attest). Nevertheless, the mash-up puts a major Masterpiece Classic spin on the original TV theme’s lyrics, and the result is all kinds of hilarious. Consider the opening verse below:

Now this is a story all about how

My life got flipped turned upstairs down

So if you’ll come round for tea and just sit right there

I’ll tell you all about how I became Lord Grantham’s heir.

Did that get you doing the Carlton dance, PopWatchers?
