'Grimm' ratings rise without 'Fringe'
Fans might have missed Fringe last night, but Grimm sure didn’t. The NBC supernatural crime drama jumped 13 percent last night with Fox’s show off the board, while CBS’ Undercover Boss climbed a notch to lead the night.
Grimm had 5.6 million viewers and a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating, tying ABC’s hidden-camera-prank-show-disguised-as-news-program Primetime: What Would You Do (5.9 million, 1.7) to win the 9 p.m. hour. Both beat the season finale of CBS’ A Gifted Man (9.7 million, 1.4), which rose a tenth (will Gifted Man get a renewal? Here’s what we think). Grimm might have also been helped by its lead-in, Who Do You Think You Are (7.6 million, 1.5), which had its best demo rating in two years.
Meanwhile, CBS’ Undercover Boss (9.6 million, 2.0) was king of the night, and Blue Bloods (11.4 million, 1.7) was steady. ABC’s Shark Tank (6.1 million, 1.7) was down a tenth.
