Well, here’s a good way to get us to tune in: Ethan Peck, grandson of Academy Award winner Gregory Peck, has been cast in the CW pilot The Selection — a Hunger Games-like drama based on a yet-to-be-released series by Kiera Cass.

EW has confirmed a Deadline casting report about the futuristic trilogy (available April 24) that revolves around a group of 35 girls chosen through a lottery to compete for a prince and a crown. (Think Hunger Games meets The Bachelor.) Friday Night Light’s AimeeTeegarden has already been cast in the lead role and Peck is set to play the prince/object of affection, with The Vampire Diaries Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain writing and producing. But what we want to know is, what would Matt Saracen say about all this?
