'West Wing' actress to star in ABC comedy pilot

Former West Wing and In Plain Sight star Mary McCormack has landed the lead role in an ABC comedy pilot.

McCormack will play Hilary in the untitled comedy, about a powerful female executive who suddenly finds herself as a stay-at-home mom with teenage kids and and with no idea how to function in her new role.

The actress just wrapped up five seasons starring in USA’s In Plain Sight (the final season gets underway March 16). The ABC project is from New Adventures of Old Christine writer-producer Kari Lizer via her production company and Warner Bros. TV.
