Maya Rudolph’s return to Studio 8H marks two fantastic reunions this weekend: The former Saturday Night Live player will be back at her old stomping ground to host for the first time since her seven-year run on the show and it will mark the second Bridesmaids reunion with Kristen Wiig this season. (The first of which belonged to a hysterical Melissa McCarthy, who turned out to host one of 2011’s best SNL episodes.)

So how did current cast member Andy Samberg welcome her back again? (Rudolph actually made a cameo earlier this season during Steve Buscemi’s outing to play none other than Whitney Houston.) The only way he knows how: With salmon sandwiches (garp!), shark balloons, creepy porn guys, and a heck of a lot of sunglasses. A hero’s return if there ever was one, wouldn’t you say? Watch the kooky SNL promo with Rudolph and Samberg below:

Will you be tuning in to see Maya Rudolph back in her Saturday Night Live element or are you just hoping to see some sort of variation of that possible Bridesmaids sequel? Do you think Rudolph will actually do her Whitney Houston impression one last time or is it far too soon? (The singer’s funeral will be held only a few hours earlier than the SNL broadcast.)
