While members of the press sometime get to see pilots and episodes before the general public, there are times where everyone — no matter your vocation or access — need to catch up. That was the case with Touch, which I finally got around to watching yesterday on Hulu after a long week of traveling. And while I should feel a little shamed that I’m late to the party, I also sort of don’t.

The abundance of options these days is both a blessing and a curse. I can watch a pilot a week, or two, or three, or four weeks after its aired. That’s what sites like Hulu were invented for. But do you ever feel bad when it seems the world has moved on from something you’ve just been watching? I do. Maybe that’s because of my line of work. Or maybe that’s because I feel like I’m shrinking into a tiny Twitter hole of invisibility when everyone on the social networking site begins referencing and reacting to things I haven’t yet seen. Regardless, I’m shedding my shame for this day only to say: I watched Touch, and it’s pretty good. (Although, I agree with Ken Tucker, who said, a week ago, that he wasn’t quite hooked yet.) Too bad we’ll have to wait until March 19 to see its official premiere.

So, if you haven’t watched Touch yet, do it now — or later, if you choose. Because you have that choice. Time be damned (and happy Friday frustrations everyone!).
