The cast and creator of Starz’ Spartacus: Vengeance took live questions from fans Thursday night and had some interesting answers on some playful topics. Among the revelations:

— The second season finale will somehow top the infamous “Kill Them All” finale from the show’s debut season. “We should have called it ‘Kill More of Them,'” said creator Steven S. DeKnight of the upcoming episode. “Because so many storylines come to a conclusion in a grand fashion. Episodes 9 and 10 are two of the biggest episodes we’ve ever done. We do things in there that when we came up with them in the writers room, we looked at each other and thought there’s no way we were ever going to be able to do this.”

— The show has no set end date, but they’re currently working out a plan with Starz. “It will go as long as Starz wants us to continue,” DeKnight said. “I can guarantee that we will end the show, at no point will it just stop [without a satisfying conclusion].” He added, “at the end of this season there’s a major historical event that anybody familiar with the story of Spartacus will recognize.”

— The manscaped gladiator look, DeKnight said, is historically accurate since Ancient Romans thought body hair was barbaric. But there is something about the female, er, costume, that’s not accurate.

Here’s the 30-minute raw interview feed, which streamed live online last night. Spartacus returns tonight at 10 p.m.:
