A lot has happened in the five months since we first debuted Jack and White, the folksy-pop duo composed of American Idol alum Brooke White and singer-songwriter Jack Mantranga, here on the Music Mix.

They released their debut EP, Gemini, on Aug. 30, shot a retro video for “Double Trouble,” toured throughout Southern California, and Brooke recently announced (via video!) that she is pregnant with her first child.

But all that activity hasn’t stopped the sunny duo from recording new music. Today, Jack and White are releasing their second EP, Winter, and we’ve got an exclusive listen to the first track, “Night After Night,” an atmospheric “California country”-tinged lament. Check out the tune, which has Jack taking on lead vocals on the verses, below:

Ah, isn’t it wonderfully moody? Jack and White’s sound (along with their press photos) seems to change organically with the seasons, yet the sound here still meshes with the one developed on Gemini. “Night After Night,” along with the whole Winter EP, is available for download now, and it’s definitely worth a listen.

What do you think of Jack and White’s new song? Will you be picking up their new EP?
