'Shark Tank' returns to Friday ratings high
Go sharks! ABC’s underdog reality show Shark Tank returned to its best Friday rating ever.
The third season premiere of Shark Tank (6.2 million viewers, 1.7 preliminary adult demo rating) had its most-watched telecast of all time and was up 42 percent in the adult demo compared to last year’s first episode. Shark Tank also won its time period, beating Fox’s reality rival Kitchen Nightmares (3.9 million, 1.5). (CBS was in repeats.)
Also Friday, NBC had some good news: Chuck (3.8 million, 1.1) was up 22 percent and Grimm (5.9 million, 1.8) rose 29 percent. Fox’s Fringe (3.2 million, 1.1) was steady.
