Some notable onscreen names are being recognized for their behind-the-camera achievements with this year’s Directors Guild Award nominations. Jennifer Aniston, Demi Moore, and Alicia Keys (to name just a few) are among the directors who have each received a nomination in the Movies for Television and Mini-Series category, for their contributions to Lifetime’s Five anthology, about the impact of breast cancer.

Also receiving nods this year are Breaking Bad, The Killing, Game of Thrones, Homeland, and Friday Night Lights in the dramatic series category.

As for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a Comedy Series, Modern Family, and Curb Your Enthusiasm dominated with two nominations each, while 30 Rock received one.

The award show, hosted by Kelsey Grammer, is scheduled for Saturday, Jan 28.
