As if Hot in Cleveland weren’t already sparkly and fabulous enough with the likes of Betty White (and her always-bedazzled jump suits!) leading the way, the show’s about to get another serious injection of razzle-dazzle: Stage and screen legend Liza Minnelli has signed on to guest-star on the TV Land sitcom for one episode, sources have confirmed. TVLine first reported the news.

The legend — who won an Oscar for Cabaret back in 1973 and has popped up more recently in fare ranging from Arrested Development to Sex and the City 2 — is set to play the agent of fading actress Victoria Chase (Wendie Malick). It’s a perfect time, in fact, for Chase’s agent to show up, as she’s seen a story line this season that focused on her trying to nab a talk show gig in New York City.

Indeed, Chase is constantly talking about getting back into the game. Will it be Minnelli — one of showbiz’s only performers to have won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony — who will help the actress regain her mojo? Seems very likely.
