A paranoid parade of conspiracy theories has sprung up around the whirlwind marriage of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, which lasted a mere 72 days but nevertheless netted the couple a big payday. However, a new possibility for the quick break-up of the marriage emerges from a close viewing of Monday’s season premiere of Koopa and Koolio Annex New Haven: Maybe Humphries just didn’t want to live with insane people. A source close to Humphries tells EW, “In the episode, Kris reacted like any normal newlywed husband would when a new sister-in-law brings a naked yoga instructor into his home [and] has a screaming 2-year-old outside his bedroom door.”

The unique living arrangement in this season of Kourtney and Kim saw the newlyweds living with the famously fractious Kourtney and Scott, along with their well-heeled son Mason. According to the source, Humphries had “in-laws constantly fighting around him…Any normal newly-married couple would get a room down the hall. But it’s the KOURTNEY and Kim show, with many more episodes to go, not the KRIS and Kim show.”

As Kim herself noted on the premiere, she had never actually lived with her new husband before their marriage. According to the show’s timeline, they went straight from their honeymoon to New York. You could argue that a slightly healthier alternative might have been a show entirely centered on the newlyweds — Kim and Kris’ Kooky Ko-habitation, let’s say — similar to how Kim’s younger sister Khloé starred alongside her husband Lamar in their own series, the minimally-titled Khloé and Lamar. (Then again, making a show about a new marriage might just not be healthy, period: Check out what happened with Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica…)

PopWatchers, did you see the season premiere of Kourtkim and Kimkim Kim Kim Kim? Did it change your perspective on the Kris-Kim break-up? Was the reality show to blame? Can any love survive the harsh light of the camera? What is love?
