What the $@&!? Just when viewers thought they were done with silly show titles that employ symbols and numerals (sorry, $#*! My Dad Says and Numb3rs), here comes ¡Rob!, the network’s new comedy starring Rob Schneider (left) that bows Jan. 12. We get what the net’s going for: The sitcom is about a man who marries into a tight-knit Mexican-American family, and of course the inverted exclamation mark is used in the Spanish language. But the shtick is bound to irk grumpy bloggers, who’ll say it’s a pain in the a$$ to type, and it’s unlikely to convince viewers the show is funny. (CBS’ response: Lighten up.) For Schneider’s sake, let’s hope the title is the only annoying thing about his sitcom.
