In her new book Gabby: A Story of Hope and Courage, Rep. Gabrielle Giffords documents her story of strength and resilience after surviving an assassination attempt back in January. Giffords and her husband, astronaut Mark Kelly, also recently opened up about her miraculous recovery to ABC’s Diane Sawyer.
If you don’t mind getting teary-eyed at your desk at work, watch the preview below, which features footage of Giffords’ inspirational and often painful recovery, as well as interviews with Giffords’ family (“I think Gabby’s got a message now that exceeds the political one,” says her mother) and the Congresswoman herself. Check out the video:
Sawyer’s interview with Giffords will air on 20/20 on Monday, Nov. 14 at 10 p.m.
