Once upon a time, ex-Deadwood star Ian McShane was cast in two fairy-tale adaptations, both of which will be released next year. In Bryan Singer‘s Jack the Giant Killer, he plays King Brahmwell, and in Snow White and the Huntsman, starring Kristen Stewart, he’s one of the dwarfs. ”There’s four hours of makeup every day,” he says of Huntsman. ”You think, ‘My God, this is never going to end!”’ While Relativity’s rival Snow White film starring Julia Roberts will be out three months before Huntsman, McShane isn’t feeling competitive. ”That’s a completely different kind of movie,” he says. ”That’s more of a comedy…. Ours is much more the dark, European version. Our dwarfs are a very angry bunch.”
