The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D isn’t due to be released for another year, but Lionsgate have gotten the movie’s publicity campaign off to an early, Halloween start by releasing the first poster from the franchise reboot-sequel, which you can check out to the left and, in a larger format, below. I’m hoping that the person who came up with the tagline “Buzz. Kill.” treated themselves by taking the rest of the day off.

TCM 3D is directed by John Leussenhop (Takers) and stars Alexandra Daddario, Tania Raymonde, Scott Eastwood, Trey Songz, and Dan Yeager, who is playing the chainsaw-wielding Leatherface. The film will also feature appearances by Chainsaw franchise alumni Marilyn Burns, Gunnar Hansen, John Dugan, and Bill Moseley. “My character finds out that she isn’t really who she thought she was,” Daddario told EW earlier this year. “She’s discovering where she really came from and what she has to do with the family in the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It’s more of a mystery than the original in a lot of ways. It keeps you guessing.” Check out the full poster below:
