Unfortunately for us Hook fans, no, it’s not a sequel. (“Rufio! Rufio! Rufi-oooooo!”) But, still, exciting news that a Peter Pan prequel is headed for Broadway. According to the Associated Press, Peter and the Starcatcher will head to the Great White Way this spring. (And, not too surprisingly, Disney is behind the show.)

Based on Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson’s novel, Peter and the Starcatcher follows the titular character and his upbringing. Tony Award nominee Rick Elice is the writer on Peter and the Starcatcher; Roger Rees and Alex Timbers serve as co-directors. Will he fly — at least at the box office — on Broadway?
