'American Horror Story' scares up strong FX ratings
Ryan Murphy’s latest series, American Horror Story, got off to a solid-to-strong start on Wednesday night on FX, improving upon most of FX’s previous successful debuts.
The first airing delivered 3.2 million viewers and a 2 million adults 18-49 last night, tying the series debut of Nip/Tuck in the demo and finishing 33 percent higher than the first season premiere of Sons of Anarchy. Still, the debut was down from the first episode of Justified (4.2 million total viewers, though tied AHS in the demo), and The Shield (4.8 million).
Across three airings last night, AHS delivered a total of 5 million viewers and a 3.2 million adults 18-49.
