'The Real Housewives of O.C.': Peggy Tanous quits! At least, that's what she's saying!
Another day, another Housewives casting rumor! Today, the subject is Orange County‘s 41-year-old mother of two, Peggy Tanous, who announced on Facebook that she has “declined [Bravo’s] offer to return to the show” for season 7, adding that she didn’t want to be a part of the “negative energy of certain cast members” and didn’t want to be forced to “have ‘dramatic’ confrontations” any longer.
For the network’s part, a Bravo spokesperson had simply this to say when contacted by EW about Tanous’ statement about her future on the show: “We have not yet made any casting announcements regarding season 7 of The Real Housewives of Orange County.”
Tanous’ full post on Facebook is as follows:
Tanous only appeared as a full-fleged housewife on this past, sixth season of Orange County. But she made her mark through a legendary fued with Alexis. It’s easiest to keep track of all the housewives through their saucy line in the show’s opening credits. Her was: “Soccer moms drive mini vans but this girl drives a Bentley.”
Officially, season 7 of the series was greenlit in August. Production start dates on the Housewives shows is always hard to pin down, but fellow housewife Vicki Gunvalson Tweeted on Sept. 4 that it was “‘go time’ for season 7,” suggesting that the series is already being filmed.
