Paramount has just released a new trailer for Paranormal Activity 3, the second sequel in their wildly successful camcorder horror franchise.

The film, directed by Catfish helmers Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, jumps back to 1988 to reveal how young sisters Katie (from Paranormal Activity) and Kristi (from Paranormal Activity 2) originally became intertwined with the demons that continue to plague them years later.

The film appears to have a larger cast and more complex plot than its predecessors, and from the brief glimpses in the trailer, it also looks like we’ll see far more than just surveillance footage inside the house. Don’t worry, though, the main attraction of ghostly terror is alive and well!
