Rock of Ages hasn’t even rolled its way into theaters yet and already two of its co-stars, Russell Brand and Julianne Hough, are teaming up for a new project together. Mason Novick ((500) Days of Summer) has confirmed to EW that Brand and Hough will star in Diablo Cody’s directorial debut, the previously-titled Lamb of God, a film that he will be producing.

In addition to directing, the Oscar-winner Cody will also write and executive produce (alongside Nathan Kahane) the Mandate Pictures release. (The studio also distributed her 2007 breakout Juno, as well as the upcoming Young Adult.) The film follows a religious woman (Hough, who will next be seen in the remake of Footloose) who, after a plane crash, questions her beliefs and moves to Las Vegas to try out life as a sinner. During her personal journey, she stumbles upon a companion (Brand) along the way who helps her find herself again. Production on the film will reportedly begin in the spring.
