Leave it to hump day to bring a little humor into my life. While Wednesday nights this season feature two compelling reality series, Survivor and The X Factor, for me they’re all about the laughs. With shows ranging from the new (and totally adorbs) Up All Night to returning favorite and Emmy darling Modern Family, it’s the one night that doesn’t leave me torn over what to watch. So without further adieu, check out my stress-less picks below and let me know if they align with your plans for the night.

8 p.m. – 9 p.m.

LIVE: Up All Night (NBC): Thanks to the combined comedic forces of Christina Applegate, Will Arnett and Maya Rudolph (not to mention a seriously cute baby), this show has me booked for the season.

DVR: The X Factor (Fox): While I’ve been on a reality show diet as of late, I’ll probably break the rules a little to catch Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul going at it again on X Factor (at least for the first couple of episodes).

9 p.m. – 10 p.m.

LIVE: Modern Family and Happy Endings (ABC): My summer just wasn’t the same without the shenanigans of the Tucker-Pritchett-Delgado-Dunphy clan, so it really comes as no surprise that Modern Family rules this time-slot for me. As for it its follow-up, Happy Endings, well, I wasn’t exactly the most dedicated viewer last season. But, since I did enjoy what little I saw, I figure this season it deserves a full commitment.

DVR: Nothing: Would you judge me if I said I’ll probably just use this time re-watch the most recent Modern Family? I didn’t think so.

10 p.m. – 11 p.m.

LIVE: Revenge: I know I’m betraying my comedy commitment, but that seems like the appropriate thing to do for a show called Revenge, right? The series has pretty good buzz and I’m curious to see how it’ll pan out.

DVR: Nothing: Dear DVR, enjoy your Wednesday night break. Thursday is an entirely different story (you’ll see what I mean by this tomorrow).

Now it’s your turn! Tell me what you’re watching and what I’m missing in the comments below!
