Blake Shelton, ”Footloose”
Will it please Louise? Shelton hardens his country r’s but otherwise hews one-degree-of-Kevin-Bacon close to Kenny Loggins’ everybody-cut original. BLeah Greenblatt

LMFAO, ”Sexy and I Know It”
”Girl, look at that body/I work out.” Yep, the ”Party Rock Anthem” boys are back with more Mensa-level dance-floor come-ons. Still, as blithely brainless disco squiggles go, it does make the booties bounce. BLG

Coldplay, ”Paradise”
Anthemic ache and alarmingly gorgeous whoa whoa whoas aside, the airy drama driving ”Paradise” is exactly what naysayers talk about when they dismiss Coldplay as softer than lemon meringue and half as satisfying. BKyle Anderson
