Embattled filmmaker Roman Polanski is set to accept his lifetime achievement award from the Zurich Film Festival on Sept. 27, reports the AP. Polanski was scheduled to receive the honor two years ago, but the ceremony was delayed when he was arrested in connection with the decades-long legal battle over his 1977 sexual relationship with a 13-year-old American girl. Polanski, who lives in France, has been able to move freely between his home country and Switzerland since he was freed in July 2010 after Switzerland’s government refused to extradite him to the United States.
