One of his tweets: “I like the idea of ‘Glee’ but why is it that every time I watch an episode I feel like I’ve stepped into a puddle of HIV?” Since then, prior to announcing that Criss might star in Downers Grove, Ellis praised the talent on the show on Twitter: “Whatever my problems with Glee have nothing to do with the incredibly talented cast itself. Have tastelessly bashed the show not the actors.”

Downers Grove, set for a 2012 release follows a high school plagued with a strange curse: One member of the senior class dies in a bizarre way each year. Hayden Panettiere, Nikki Reed, and Lucy Hale are attached to star.
