This year’s London Film Festival has officially announced its opening film: 360, the new film from City of God director Fernando Meirelles that stars Jude Law, Rachel Weisz, and Anthony Hopkins. With an original screenplay by acclaimed British screenwriter/playwright Peter Morgan (The Queen, Frost/Nixon), 360 is described in official festival materials as “a modern and stylish kaleidoscope of interconnected love and relationships linking characters from different cities and countries,” including Vienna, London, Paris, Bratislava, Rio, Denver, and Phoenix. (So basically, it’s the art-house version of Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol.) The London Film Festival starts Oct. 12.
