Earlier teasers for Immortals mostly just threw crazy visuals at you, but the new trailer gamely attempts to explain the film’s plot. “There was a war in heaven,” explains the narrator. “The victors declared themselves gods. The vanquished were renamed Titans.” Along comes King Hyperion — Mickey Rourke doing a Ron Perlman impression — with a plan to commit mass theocide. Then the crazy visuals start up again. Between the explosions, the falls from great heights, and an unmistakable cameo by the Inception foghorn, this trailer is just one car-flip away from completely covering our Movie Trailer Bingo Board. Still unclear: Whether Immortals is the next 300, or the next Clash of the Titans. Check out the trailer and decide.
