Warner Bros. has announced release dates for its Oscar hopefuls from directors Clint Eastwood and Stephen Daldry. The studio confirms Eastwood’s J. Edgar, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, will get a limited release on Nov. 9 before going wide Nov. 11. Stephen Daldry’s Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, the adaptation of the Jonathan Safran Foer novel starring Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock, will open in select cities on Dec. 25, and go wide Jan. 20.

Journey 2: The Mysterious Island 3D, starring Dwayne Johnson, Josh Hutcherson, Michael Caine, and Vanessa Hudgens, will now open Feb. 10, as opposed to Jan. 27. Alfonso Cuarón’s space thriller Gravity 3D, starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock, has been set for Nov. 12, 2012.
