After a promising off-Broadway run, Lysistrata Jones is coming to the Walter Kerr Theatre. The musical comedy, with a book written by Sister Act‘s Douglas Carter Beane, tells the story of a losing men’s college basketball team that reverses its fortunes only when the players’ girlfriends decide to withhold something…  well, something men really, really want. Patti Murin played the titular character in the off-Broadway version, but a Broadway cast has yet to be announced. Performances will begin Nov. 12, with opening night scheduled for Dec. 14.
