For anyone who still believes that science-fiction cinema can be more than just a giant-alien-robot delivery system, the trailer for In Time will be a breath of fresh air. Written and directed by Andrew Niccol, the film looks a little bit like a spiritual sequel to Niccol’s own Gattaca. Justin Timberlake plays a working-class joe in a utopian future where no one ever has to age past 25. Functionally, this has two effects: 1) Everyone’s mom is totally hot, and 2) the new global currency is years of life. This means that poor people die young and rich people live forever, just like in real life, maaaaannn! Check out the trailer:
