SPOILER ALERT! If you don’t know Snape’s fate in the Harry Potter franchise, do not watch the video below. If you do, by all means, enjoy Canadian comic Gavin Crawford’s take on Snape filming an It Gets Better video for young wizards who feel persecuted or like they do not fit in. (My jaw tightens just typing that ‘t’ in fit.)

I think Crawford could have milked the pauses in his dead-on delivery even more. But, in his defense, he did post the video on YouTube before Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2 hit theaters with Snape’s epic Great Hall speech in which Alan Rickman waited for upwards of three seconds between some words. Also, “the hero that you are” is pure perfection.
