Despite a report that says Eric Dane recently entered a rehab clinic in Los Angeles to battle an addiction to painkillers, production on season 8 of Grey’s Anatomy was not affected. An insider told EW that Dane, who plays Dr. Mark Sloan, is already back at work with the rest of the cast.

Production on the ABC drama began Friday.

Dane’s rep released this statement to People: “Actor Eric Dane voluntarily checked himself into a treatment facility to help him get off of pain medication that he was prescribed for a sports injury that he suffered over the recent hiatus.”
