A new trailer for Immortals, the sword-and-sandals epic starring future-Superman Henry Cavill as a man who needs to save even the Greek gods from conqueror Mickey Rourke, has hit. Watch it below and applaud Relativity’s move toward selling the still-relatively unknown Cavill as the star of the film and not director Tarsem Singh’s 300-meets-The Cell visuals alone. Smart move, I think. While visually arresting, the look of the movie isn’t a surprise. The real mystery is what Cavill will do with the lead role — and if it’s possible for him to ever look too battle-worn to be described as handsome.
