'Burn Notice' heats up in the ratings
Appropriately enough, summer TV is getting hot: USA’s Burn Notice returned to 2.3 million viewers among adults 18-29, a number that has increased 15 percent since the show’s fall 2010 premiere. And the show’s total number is even hotter — the Jeffrey Donovan-starring series boasted 5.2 million total viewers, which was a 20 percent increase from its fall debut.
Burn Notice proved to be a stellar lead-in for the lawyer series Suits, which scored 4.6 million viewers, and 2 million among adults 18-49. That latter number is a 47 percent increase from January’s Fairly Legal premiere, which shared the same time slot. This only means one thing: Expect plenty more insufferable “hot” puns for Burn Notice and its Thursday partner-in-crime.
