Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules (2011, PG)
Zachary Gordon, Devon Bostick Middle school is still the pits in this sloppy-seconds sequel based on Jeff Kinney’s best-selling illustrated kids’ books. (Also on iTunes) C

The Killing Machine (2010, R)
Dolph Lundgren The Swedish action hunk better known as Rocky IV‘s Ivan Drago (”I must break you!”) directs and stars in a shoot-’em-up about a KGB-trained assassin-cum-family man who must take on the Russian Mob. Blu-ray debut. B-

Bad News Bears (2005, PG-13)
Billy Bob Thornton, Greg Kinnear Neither as raunchy nor as radical as the 1976 original, Richard Linklater’s comedy about a baseball team of lovable pint-size losers and their grouchy manager still racks up some solid chuckles. (Available on Netflix instant viewing) B+
