Here’s a promising Development: Michael Cera is coming to Springfield! EW has learned that the star of screens small (Arrested Development) and big (Juno) has recorded a guest role for an episode of The Simpsons. Cera voices Nick, a seemingly gallant boy who becomes a potential love interest for Lisa. “He starts quoting Hemingway and she says, ‘You’re not a product of the Springfield public schools, are you?’ And he goes, ‘No, I come to Springfield for the food and the women,’” says executive producer Al Jean. “So he talks a good game. [But] she starts to realize that he’s less than expected.” Cera’s episode, titled “The Daughter Also Rises,” is scheduled to air next season, which will be the animated Fox comedy’s 23rd.
