TNT’s new dramedy Franklin & Bash got off to a good start Wednesday, averaging 2.7 million viewers, according to early results. The new series from the Emmy-winning Kevin Falls (Journeyman) and Bill Chais also scored well in the key adult demos, including 1.1 million adults ages 18-49 and 1.2 million adults 25-54. The show stars Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Breckin Meyer.
Unfortunately, not everyone stuck around to watch the return of the critically-beloved Men of a Certain Age, the Ray Romano starrer that first premiered in December 2009. It averaged 1.8 million viewers and 591,000 adults 18-49. Among adults 25-54, it lured 825,000. TNT says the show will boost its delivery by at least 50% when DVR results become available in a week.
