Hold on to your ruby slippers. Disney confirmed to EW that Sam Raimi’s upcoming prequel to The Wizard of Oz, called Oz: The Great and Powerful won’t be flying into theaters until March 8, 2013.

The film, which is set to be released in Disney Digital 3-D and begins filming this summer, will feature James Franco an an oil salesman who finds himself far beyond the yellow brick road and must face off with a trio of evil witch sisters (including Mila Kunis and Rachel Weisz) to gain control of the Land of Oz. Michelle Williams is also attached to the flick and will play Glinda the Good Witch. But, if you’re too excited at the prospect for a chance to revisit the Wizard, rest easy: There’s a bevy of Oz projects on the horizon, including the animated Dorothy of Oz which features the voice of Lea Michele and the CG/stop-motion Oz Wars from Mike Johnson the co-director of Corpse Bride.
