Showtime’s new series Homeland (air date TBD) has a premise that could’ve been a great Tom Clancy novel: A CIA officer (Claire Danes) suspects that a recovered American P.O.W. (Damian Lewis) may actually be an al-Qaeda operative. Judging by this trailer, the show promises plenty of clock-ticking suspense and paranoid drama — no surprise there, since it’s produced by 24 alums Alex Gansa, Howard Gordon and Michael Klick. Our only question: Will they be able to sustain this one plotline for the entire run of the series? Or is this just a jumping off point for Danes’ character as a female Jack Ryan? Check out the official teaser trailer below, then let us know what you think in the comments.
