Which of the dueling Snow White productions will be the fairest of them all? We’re not sure, but the battle is definitely getting interesting. Universal’s Snow White and the Huntsman, starring Kristen Stewart as Snow White, Chris Hemsworth as the huntsman, and Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen, moved up its release date to June 1, 2012, from its original date in late December. Universal chairman Adam Fogelson and co-chairman Donna Langley said in a joint statement, ”We’re thrilled that Universal will be bringing this singular version of a timeless story almost seven months earlier than anticipated.” The new release date will have it in theaters four weeks ahead of Relativity’s as-yet-untitled Snow White project, starring Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen. That production is still scheduled to hit theaters on June 29, 2012.
