The newest clip from Super 8 to hit the internet doesn’t reveal much more about J.J. Abrams’ mysterious maybe-monster movie. The main group of kids — who resemble the Goonies more and more with every passing minute — are searching through the train wreckage. One kid says “It wasn’t an accident,” and cradles a mysterious Rubik’s cube-ish thing. Then, the kids see someone they recognize: “Dr. Woodward.” (He’s in the driver seat of a wrecked truck; presumably, he caused the crash.) What happens next is tense and scary — suffice it to say that if executive producer Steven Spielberg has his way, 20 years from now this scene will feature a freaky dude pointing a walkie-talkie at the children.
